Selinda - North east Botswana "The Selinda Reserve is 1350 square km of unspoilt wilderness - an African ideal. Two small camps called Zibalianja and Selinda offer what most of us want: privacy, wilderness, natural relaxation and open-air cuisine. The area is a mixture of open plains, waterways and wooded Acacia forests. I was shown a unique orchid, which grows on the stem of the Ilala Palm. I have had two unique experiences in this area - following a pride of lions on a successful night hunt and moving with a pack of wild dogs during the day. Two cheetahs killed an impala right in the Selinda Camp while I was out on an afternoon walk! Both camps are made up of typical East African tents with a dining room area being the heart of camp life." (Colin Bristow) Map of Botswana map opens in new window (54k)
