Colin Bristow, your owner pilot, is a 5th generation African, the fourth child among eight born to parents who were cattle ranchers, explorers and conservationists. It wasn't long before the feeling about the continent he grew up in became a full-fledged affair of the heart.

He became a student and a soldier. A professional big game hunter and a photographer.

He began to fly in his teens and became a commercial pilot and guide in 1982.

But his life wasn't complete, until 1997, when he met a young English woman, whose love of Africa matched his own.

Together, they pooled their collective knowledge; not just the storehouse variety based on facts anyone can learn, but a wisdom gleaned from the kind of experience you can't find in books or on the internet.

Their passion gave birth to a new African safari experience.

Eco Logical Africa is at the forefront of contemporary African safari exploration. Each safari, designed exclusively for their clients, is a look into the soul of Africa rarely glimpsed.

Deon Van Biljon was bred, born and raised in Zimbabwe and traveled and studied in Europe for three years following high school graduation.

The magic of Africa, however, kept calling for his return. In 2008, he made the move to build a life and long term career in Southern Africa working to make a difference in local communities through responsible tourism.

He was immediately snapped up by Eco Logical Africa and is the coordinating arm of every trip we design.
