ACTIVITIES

The only activity that we are not interested in is hunting. From your wish list, we can determine where to go and how long we should spend there. Many of our adventure safaris involve flying to a particular destination and enjoying and participating in the highlights and characters of that area. We organise nearly anything in adventure. Normal safaris revolve around day and night game drives in open vehicles and a bit of walking. Most destinations regard eating as an activity and they take pride in presentation and variety of selection.

AGE LIMITS IN CAMPS AND LODGES

Generally, there are no upper age limits in lodges and camps but the Company respectfully requests that only physically active people join our safaris! Restrictions apply to children under 8. Cross-Country and Walking Safaris have a lower age limit of 12 and a maximum of 65, 70 or 75, depending on the level of difficulty of the safari. Gorilla trekking in Rwanda and Uganda has a strictly enforced lower age limit of 16.

AIR CHARTER

All our aeroplanes are operated and maintained within the boundaries of an Air Operator Certificate in the name of Bembesi Air Services (Pvt) Ltd (Caaz Air Operator Certificate Number 021).
The insurance policy and operations manual is available for inspection by any interested party at the Company’s office.

AIRLINE CLAUSE

The airlines concerned are not to be held liable for any act, omission or event during the time the passengers are not on board their planes or conveyance. The passengers’ tickets in use by the airline or by other carriers concerned when issued shall constitute the sole contract between the airlines and the purchaser of these tickets and/or passengers.

BAGGAGE

Travelling in light aeroplanes is fun but there are restrictions in load weight and load size.
For safety and because space is restricted, baggage in some charter aircraft is restricted to a maximum of 12 kg (9lb) per person in a soft bag. This includes camera equipment and carry-on baggage. Should guests arrive with excess baggage without prior warning their baggage could be delayed, as we may have to fly the baggage into camps at a later stage at considerable extra cost to you. However, should the guests know in advance that the baggage will exceed the limit; we can usually book an extra seat for the bags on the aircraft, at an additional cost to them.
