Vilanculos Beach Lodge
"Here's a place for the whole family. Somehow the sound of the sea's motion and an enormous expanse of aquamarine blue ocean change the pace of life and priorities. There are no strict formalities to abide by, as Vilanculos Beach Lodge has the warm atmosphere of a happy family home.
The Lodge is perched on a sandy incline overlooking the ocean. Each timber and thatch unit has a verandah from which you can enjoy the view in private. Timber pathways lead to the entertainment area, which is always a social hub of stories and laughter. The beach was clean and I enjoyed just sitting as locals walked by with the day's catch balanced on their shoulders. They just grinned and jovially greeted me in Portuguese. The people were peaceful and respected my privacy. Once again my appetite went into overdrive as the fresh day's catch was served on enormous platters!"
