Cape Grace - Cape Town, doorway to the Garden Route

"Modern and relaxed Cape Grace occupies its own quay on Cape Town's renowned Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, with the famous Table Mountain as its majestic backdrop. Although the Cape Grace efficiently presents every hotel service, it has retained an intimate, 'gracious' atmosphere. Upon checking-in, the receptionist greeted me in a personal manner and remembered my name from the day of arrival to departure. It was this professional familiarity, which promoted a feeling of hospitality and security.

My spacious suite was light and airy. French doors opened out to dockside activity leading into a stunning ocean view. If you have read any of my other descriptions, you will have realised I have a passion for fine cuisine!! Cape Grace's Quay West Restaurant served a breakfast feast which I shall never forget. I indulged in a light omelette stuffed with fresh mushrooms and ham and topped with a hollandaise sauce. Never has an 'omelette' so elated my gastronomic desires!! The fresh seafood meals were absolutely divine!!

The Hotel's facilities (before I get totally carried away!!!) include: 82 king/twin luxury rooms, 10 superior rooms with balconies, 10 suites, 2 penthouses and 18 loft rooms. The reception staff is multi-lingual and the hotel has a library, gift shop, cocktail bar, restaurant, swimming pool, in-room gym equipment upon request and other corporate facilities. Complimentary luxury transfers to the city and beaches are also provided."
