"My first exposure to the Luangwa Valley was unadulterated bush rapture - I flew into remote Africa and below me was Africa's incredible, wild diversity dominated by the wide meandering and ever-changing Luangwa River. The whole area epitomises 'the bush' and the big joy is walking. The on-foot safari is a Robin Pope tradition and specialty, developed and refined over years to become one of the best walking safari operations in Africa. And that's no exaggeration!
Nkwali, Tena Tena and Nsefu are the three main camps from which Robin Pope Safaris stage all their activities. The camps are small, personalised and made up of a mixture of woven reed matting, tents and relaxed open-air bomas. The food is always simple but delicious."
